WASHINGTON COUNTY – The names of two of the victims involved in a fatal SUV crash near Warner Valley Saturday morning were released by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Monday.
The deceased are: Jacqueline K. Mertin, 30, and Robert Kurt Evans, 37, both of St. George. A third victim, a female, was airlifted to Dixie Regional Medical Center with head and back injuries. Her name has not been released.
Multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene of the accident at approximately 5:15 a.m. Saturday after the survivor of the crash called 911. The vehicle involved in the accident appeared to have run off a cliff according to authorities.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into the incident is ongoing.
