ST. GEORGE — Two people were transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon after a two-car collision at the intersection of Dixie Drive and 600 West in St. George.
At approximately 1:25 p.m., a red Toyota Avalon was southbound on Dixie Drive in the left-hand turn lane, to make a left-hand turn onto 600 West toward the Tonaquint Park area, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said. At the same time there was a blue Toyota Prius that was traveling north on Dixie Drive going through the 600 West intersection on a green light. The red Avalon that made the left-hand turn, pulled in front of the Prius and the two collided. The blue Prius hit the red Toyota Avalon.
“Each vehicle had only one occupant, the driver, and both had minor injuries reported,” Despain said. “Both were transported to the hospital; however, just with minor injuries.”
Traffic was slowed and one traffic lane was closed for approximately 35 minutes while crews cleared the debris and towed both cars from the scene.
The driver of the red Toyota Avalon was cited for failure to yield, Despain said.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by the authorities and may not contain the full scope of findings.

Can I have your time machine? ’cause somebody really needs to let these people know that this will happen in about 30 minutes so they can avoid it.
