Around 6:30 p.m., police arrested Jaime Renee Tactay, of St. George, on charges related to alleged sexual relations with a minor between the age of 14-15 years old.

“We believe that there’s one victim in this case,” Sgt. Sam Despain said.

Despain said details about the victim are limited because the victim is a minor, but in addition to alleged sexual relations between Tactay and the victim, inappropriate pictures were also allegedly taken, which relates to the pornography charges.

The case was brought to the Police Department’s attention on June 24 and was then turned over to investigators, with Tactay listed as a suspect in the case, Despain said. In the process of investigating the allegations of sex offense with a minor, detectives made some other discoveries relating to the case, Despain said, which led to additional charges.

Tactay was charged with eight third-degree felony counts of sex offense with a minor between 14-15 years old, one third-degree felony charge of pornography distribution/soliciting a minor, one second-degree felony charge of sex offense/exploitation of a minor involving pornography, and one class-A misdemeanor charge for evidence tampering.

Tactay was booked into Washington County’s Purgatory Correctional Facility on a total bond of $56,943. She posted bail and has since been released from custody.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

So the Warren Jeff’s cult did this kind of stuff with little girls all the time. What happened to them? Nothing, until Texas got involved. Utah just ignores what happens in Hildale and other communities. This woman also got more charges than did the Washington County sheriff department guy who wrecked the sheriff’s truck while DUI and with kids in the vehicle. She also received more charges than the former bishop who bilked people of millions of dollars with his ponzi scheme and who only got a one year jail sentence. Utah has one screwed up justice system, because it seems to gives leniency to those claiming worship to the BOM and Joe Smith who was notorious for banking schemes and child brides.

I have wondered that…Why do the people of Utah ignore crimes commited against children in their own backyards?

It baffles me why no one will speak up about what goes on in hildale?

I dont know why this kind of stuff sickens me even more when a woman does this more than when a man gets busted for something it. I cant fathom the thought process that would make anyone do this.

How old is 15 really? Maybe we should ask R.Kelly….I know what I would have done at 15yrs old if an older lady wanted to have a sexual relationship. I would have gone right along with it. I sure as heckfire would not have been a “victim” I lead a fairly ‎promiscuous childhood though. Lost the ol V-card at 12.

Interesting comment, Josh. I was just thinking to myself, “where the heck were gals like this when I was a young teenager?” 😉

Last comment isn’t for this story, it was for the happy riot instigator, but now that we are in subject of ignoring laws, why hasn’t the crazy waitress been charged with a hate crime? after all that is the only reason this happened.

If you or someone else doesnt have the money, you dont get out. It doesnt matter what the crime is. The only way to have someone stay in until a judge releases you is a “no bail hold”. I think.
