Hatch rebukes EPA for costly new regulations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sen. Orrin Hatch, the most senior Republican in the United States Senate, issued the following statement on the EPA’s release of new regulations on the eve of Thanksgiving:

The EPA’s plan to implement this costly regulation comes at a time when Americans are already suffering under the weight of nearly $2 trillion in regulatory burdens, the highest in our nation’s history. Rather than pile on additional, unwarranted regulations like this one, we ought to focus instead on reducing outdated and unnecessary rules, as well as ensuring that the benefits of future regulations outweigh their costs. I’m committed to advancing such reforms in the next Congress, which will allow America’s economy to thrive once again.

Everything that comes out of Hatch’s mouth should be considered toxic waste.

Everything that comes out of Koolie’s head should be considered barnyard offal.

Why is this guy always such a downer? He condemns this and rebukes that, but never has any ideas of his own. Look at his photo in this article. He looks like he could use a couple of bottles of Prozac or something to lift his moods. Maybe he should just retire if he can’t be positive about anything. Let a younger more enthusiastic person take his place.
There is so much to be done. Utah ranks near the bottom in education–why not work to fix that? Utahans are happily buying into the Affordable-Care-Act because he can’t come up with a worthwhile alternative. All he wants to do is repeal ObamaCare and leave everyone with the same-old-same-old.

Hatch is a good example why we need term limits for Senators. Over 35 years in office and Utah is still headed backward.

Agreed. The old saying… “Either lead, follow, or get out of the way!” Hatch seems unable to do the first two, so…

Should we be world leaders, or a bunch of greedy pigs polluting the Earth?
China is pouring Billions into environmentally cleaner coal and alternate energy, while Hatch and his minions are trying to wring out more profit before we all gasp into the sunset.

As expected, once again, we have the typical and usual Hatch doggers. Instead of respond to anything about the article is Hey just dog on his age and everything else. It doesn’t matter who UT is, if someone wants to put an end govt regulation then they have a concept of individual freedom and should be praised. The EPA is by far one of the worst agencies we have that use false excuses to gain more control. They even have had their hand in gun control. And they are Liars, saying the air was safe to breathe after 9/11, knowing full well it wasn’t, which now results in more than fifty thousand first responders dying of respiratory cancers. And being on dozens of meds, they are told they can’t go public with their story if they want to continue to receive help with their medical bills.

Typo, they not hey, it not UT

  • TruthSeeker November 27, 2014 at 3:04 am

Clarify, responders and other new Yorkers. Fifty thousand is conservative number

I think you missed the point of my post. Yes, Hatch might stand for what he considers right, but he does nothing to fix what he complains about. Complainers do nothing and accomplish nothing but complaining. Complaining is easy… no work to be done afterwards. Complainers escape any work needed to make the changes they are complaining about.
Do’ers, on the other hand are the ones who get things done. If they don’t like something they work to fix it. Hatch’s Party now controls both Houses of Congress as of this coming January. Now Hatch will have to produce some tangible changes or begin to look like just a complaining blow-bag.

The EPA was created by Nixon (a Republican).
    Nixon used an Executive Order.

I still haven’t ruled out that Hatch may very well be a witch…
