WASHINGTON COUNTY – ‘Tis the season to jump in the car, blast holiday music, and drive all across town to admire the dazzling light displays.
All while sipping hot cocoa, of course.
Several homes and attractions shine bright during December. But where can you find the Clark Griswolds of the community?
Hedgehog Electric has sponsored the “2014 Christmas Light Spectacular Map,” which highlights the illuminations that are simply must-sees. And, it’s all for a good cause! For every “like” on Facebook that Hedgehog Electric receives in December, they will donate $1 to Habitat for Humanity. To download the map, visit Hedgehog Electric’s website.

I downloaded the map and narrowed down my top 10 favorites – including one you won’t find on the map.
Starting in Ivins and ending in Hurricane, here are my A-list recommendations (in the order I visited them):
1. 2081 Jacob Drive, Santa Clara 84765
Tune in your radio to 87.9 FM and enjoy the synchronized music to the spectacular lights. A donation box is located in the front of the yard, and all proceeds are donated to charity.
2. 2401 Arrowhead Trail, Santa Clara 84765
This music-light display is festive and patriotic. Visitors can tune their radios to 95.1 FM for this holiday display. Be sure to also admire the lights on Santa Clara Drive on your way to this happy home.
3. 2123 W. Sunset Blvd, Santa Clara 84765
A tasteful display of white lights is visible for all to see here while cruising Sunset.
4. 445 W. Heritage Drive, St. George 84770
This incredible home-turned-castle is still being built, but will be ready for viewing around Dec. 15. A charity event will take place here Dec. 20 from 7-10 p.m. All members of the community are welcome.
5. St. George LDS Temple
This beautiful display includes an inspiring Nativity scene that perfectly captures the spirit of Christmas.
6. Downtown Main Street
Downtown is magical during December. Be sure not to miss the mayor’s annual switching on of holiday lights on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.
7. 145 Brigham Road, St. George 84790
You can’t drive past Dixie Power without singing “Oh Christmas Tree.” Why? Because this lit-up pseudo tree is 83 ft. tall!
8. 2183 Harmony Place, St. George 84790
Oh (rein) deer. This one happens to my personal favorite. Go see what’s up on the housetop at this one!
9. 735 Apache Drive, Washington 84780
This house has become a holiday-light legend. Tune in your radio to 89.7 FM and prepare to be amazed.
10. 2574 W. 100 S. Hurricane 84737
This home isn’t on the map, but is certainly worth the drive. With blow-up decorations everywhere from Mickey to Olaf – this happy home lets it glow.
Christmas is around the corner, so go go go see as many as you can before they’re dim.
Let me know your favorites, including homes I’ve missed in the comments below.

At the Apache Drive house, what radio station do you tune in to?
LilMama
The station for that location is 89.7 FM. Hope you enjoy the lights.
Toquerville has lots of nice displays, especially on the north side of town. One of the best displays in the county is on Old Church road about 1 1/2 blocks west of the Boulevard. Well worth the trip!
Great list! How about a list for Cedar City?

See the best lit house at The Park at Green Valley subdivision, you’ll be able to see it from Dixie drive on your right as you approach Valley View when headed towards Dixie Downs. Don’t know the address for this one, but it is sure to please the eyes.
Don’t miss this one, cause they have failed to mention this one, 545 South Valley View Dr. #63. Done very well, can’t believe they didn’t mention this one, as good as Harmony pl.

Which houses can be best viewed from the top of trees?
866 east 930 south circle has a 7′ tall tunnel of lights over 25 feet long going from the sidewalk to the front door and the rest of the home is light from top to bottom. Must see.
There’s a house on Smoketree St. In Bloomington Hills that’s really nice
