As the story unfolds, a young lord is apprenticed to a magician because of the loss of his family’s wealth. As he grows, he becomes a faithful servant to his master and a great wizard himself. The young wizard falls in love with a princess, who is unaware of his love, and he becomes embittered when she marries the king.

In 20 years, the apprentice has become a dark sorcerer who endeavors to use his powers to ruin the lives of the three sons of the woman he once loved (now the queen) and to keep each of them from their one true love.

The princes fight to save their women, which takes a little help from a fairy godmother.
