Dec. 4, 2000 – Dec. 10, 2021

Nelyrose Figueroa Banaag was introduced to this world on Dec. 4, 2000, in San Francisco, California. She is the loving, oldest daughter of Brenda and Luisito Banaag Jr. She departed from this world on Dec. 10, 2021, shortly after her 21st birthday.

Nelyrose is survived by her three younger brothers: Brendan, Juanluis, Jaren, and their youngest sister, Elizen. Nelyrose was a young, independent and outgoing young woman who was always extremely supportive and caring towards her family.

Nelyrose was an excelling college student at Southern Utah University, where she was engaged in the study of biology and medicine. Her goal was to help many by becoming a doctor. She was employed as the manager of Roxberry Juice Co. Smoothies in Saint George. She previously worked as a CNA as she loved to care for people.

The outdoors, traveling, crafting and the study of marine biology all identified a vibrant young woman with a passion of living life to the fullest. One of the greatest adventures Nelyrose undertook was spontaneously swimming with Galapagos sharks in the coast of Oahu in Hawaii.

Nely had so much talent, so much to offer, and had a great, great life ahead of her. She was loved by so many people around the world. She was a brave girl that wasn’t afraid of anything, and she was so strong to continue fighting in this world. For that, we are all so proud of her great strength. She will be missed dearly by her big family around the world, from the Bay Area, SoCal, Philippines, Guatemala, etc. and the many, many friends she made throughout the years.
