Donna Lou Kaiser

May 4, 1930 – Dec. 16, 2021

Donna L. Kaiser passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, in St. George, Utah. She was born in Rockford, Illinois, May 4, 1930, the daughter of William F. Mahan and Gladys E. (Bertchie) Mahan. She attended Rockford College and graduated with a degree in Spanish from the University of Minnesota, where she met Clifford S. Kaiser.

They were married Sept. 27, 1952.  She was an active member of St. George Catholic Church and the church women’s club. For several years she also was an instructor in an adult literacy program as well as a volunteer tutor in the public school system.

Before the program was discontinued, at Dixie College she especially enjoyed tutoring middle school children who were on juvenile court probation and was both amazed and regretful of their untapped potential.

Donna’s later life centered around her children and grandchildren, whom she loved very deeply. Her hobbies were reading, jigsaw puzzles, camping and hiking. In her younger years, she enjoyed oil painting, but her favorite times were traveling with Cliff throughout the U.S. and in foreign countries around the world.

She is survived by her husband Cliff, daughter Pamela Witczak, sons Mark Kaiser and Daryl (Cheryl) Kaiser and five grandchildren.

Interment will be at St. Michaels’ Cemetery in Bayport, Minnesota.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Pine View Mortuary, 435-986-4222. Visit Pine View Mortuary’s website www.pineviewmortuary.com for full obituary and funeral service listing.
