Artist Bonnie Conrad at Gallery 35

Gallery 35, located on Main Street in downtown St. George, is hosting an exclusive solo show featuring the oil paintings of artist Bonnie Conrad, Signature Member of Oil Painters of America as well as American Women Artists. The show will run through April 11.

Sears Museum at DSU also features two works by Conrad through April 4.

Fine Art with a Western flare describes Conrad’s work. Subjects range from Native American and contemporary cowboy/cowgal to women, children and animals in rural settings.

She has experienced “The Life” along with ranch manager husband, Roger, in Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Nevada, Washington, and Utah. Presently she paints winters from her St. George studio in red rock country and summers in Mendon, Utah, at the foot of the Wellsville Mountains.

Conrad, who sports a painterly style and skillful use of color, is known for her striking portrayal of light and has won numerous awards; Top 15% Bold Brush Painting Contest 2021, Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award in Arts 2017, Purchase Award St. George Arts Festival ’15, Southwest Art Publisher’s Award plus Texas Award at American Plains Artists ‘12 and Honorable Mention, Oil Painter’s of America National.

Her works adorn numerous private collections including permanent collections at Clymer Museum, St. George Art Museum and Sears Art Museum, Dixie State University.
