PAROWAN — Parowan City is excited to announce they will be giving away a building as an economic incentive tool.
While small and in need of some work, this building is centrally located near the corner of Center and Main Street in Parowan. The city will be selling this building, known locally as the Rufus Building, for $1 to the business or idea that Parowan City Council deems best and most beneficial to the building, city and community.
Interested parties should submit an idea, business plan or prospectus to Parowan City Office in person to 5 S. Main St., Parowan, or by mail to Shayne Scott, P.O. Box 576, Parowan, Utah 84761.
All submissions should be received before Oct. 1, 5 p.m.
Parowan City is extremely excited to give this building away, according to its press release, and looks forward to reviewing many excellent proposals to see this building put to good use.

I’m sure the mayor’s brother will enjoy the building
Looks like the best thing to do is keep the front and demolish the rest.
But Parowan? Their problem is they’re so far off the freeway.
