Fredrick Kuhn, 22, of Las Vegas and Taylor Sloan, 20, of Littlefield, Arizona, were each arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor counts related to the possession and sale of a controlled substance, among other charges, according to a press release from the Mesquite Police Department Wednesday.

According to police, the two allegedly began selling methamphetamines out of their home in Mesquite to area residents right after moving in.

“Within a week of Kuhn and Sloan moving to the area,” police stated in the press release, “the Mesquite Police Department narcotics detectives had initiated their investigation.”

The investigation culminated in the issuance of a high-risk search warrant of the suspects’ home that was executed by the Mesquite Police SWAT Tuesday morning.

“During the execution of the search warrant, both drug dealers were located and safely taken into custody,” Mesquite Police said. “Narcotics detectives also discovered additional illegal narcotics, as well as stolen credit cards and checkbooks inside the residence.”

After being taken into custody, the two were taken to Las Vegas and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

According to Mesquite Police, Kuhn and Sloan were charged with felony counts of sales of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, opening or maintaining a place for unlawful sales of controlled substance, unlawful possession of a credit card without owner’s consent.

They were also charged with misdemeanor counts of attempting to exploit an elderly person, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kuhn was additionally charged with a felony probation violation out of Las Vegas.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
